“A Change is Gonna Come.” (Redux.)

Now, this is change we can believe in.

Transition advisers to President-elect Barack Obama have compiled a list of about 200 Bush administration actions and executive orders that could be swiftly undone to reverse White House policies on climate change, stem cell research, reproductive rights and other issues, according to congressional Democrats, campaign aides and experts working with the transition team.

The list of executive orders targeted by Obama’s team could well get longer in the coming days, as Bush’s appointees rush to enact a number of last-minute policies in an effort to extend his legacy.

I never thought I would see “change” as socialism. Will Oprah “redistribute her wealth” to those of us who aren’t Black? I hope she is one of the first to be heavily taxed so maybe she will have to buy a school in the (gasp) USA for (gasp) White kids?

  2. I see you drank the McCain-Palin koolaid Jena.

Oh, I almost forgot, as a heterosexual Californian, who voted FOR gay marriage remaining legal, when is this “change” going to occur? Gays and lesbians are far more discriminated against than any race or religion. I’ve seen it expressed at work and on the streets. I was stunned and angry when I found most African-Americans voted against gay marriage and said “it is not a civil rights issue”. As a Caucasian-American, I would think that, of all people, they would SUPPORT the rights and basic freedom for ALL citizens. Misogyny and Homophobia are obviously more rampant than racism. This ignorant bigotry is virulently expressed by most of the rap artists. I am glad that boycotts are being organized and now it is time for Obama fully support an end to the injustice towards gay Americans.
