“What if he is?”

Best quote from Colin Powell is about people thinking Obama is a Muslim. That whole section of Powell’s endorsement is worth watching.

The correct answer is “He’s not a Muslim. He’s a Christian.’ … But the really right answer is, ‘What if he is?’ Is there somethign wrong with being a Muslim in this country? The answer is ‘no.’ That’s not America. Is there something wrong with some seven-year-old American kid believing that he or she can be president?

  1. That has got to be one of the most beautiful endorsements I’ve had the pleasure of watching/hearing, ever.

I’ve been catching little ‘bits’ of McCain’s response to this (possible reading an interview he’d given to Fox ‘news’…) and it seems to me he pretty much just blew Powell off. If I were McCain? I’d be hanging my head in shame.
Heh. It goes without saying I’m just glad I don’t have to be McCain.
