… this is what they’d look like.
From CNN.
At a boisterous Sarah Palin rally in Polk City, Florida on Saturday afternoon, one name was surprisingly absent from the campaign décor — John McCain’s.
Looking around the Fantasy of Flight aircraft hangar where the rally took place, there were all the usual reminders that it was a pro-McCain event. There were two large “Country First” banners hung on the walls along with four enormous American flags meant to conjure the campaign’s underlying patriotic theme. Many of the men and women in the audience wore McCain hats and t-shirts.
But on closer inspection, the GOP nominee’s name was literally nowhere to be found on any of the official campaign signage distributed to supporters at the event.
“We still think we’ve got plenty of time to close the gap enough to make this election competitive and win it.”
“Our private polls show that we are closing fast and will be ahead by election day.”
Is the McCain Campaign trying to put the Village People back together?
We have “John McCain the Sailor,” “Joe the Plumber” and now “Tito the Builder.”
Tito the Builder made an appearance here today
Tito Munoz, like Joe the Plumber, is a Sen. John McCain campaign supporter who represents the small-business voting bloc that McCain and his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, have been courting the past few weeks. Munoz became a fixture in Palin’s stump speeches after she heard his story from McCain.
All they need is “Tonto the Indian,” “Rex the Policeman,” and a couple of others.
McCain is supposed to appear later this week with his “five former secretaries of state” who have endorsed him. It should be a picture that will attracts many of the youth vote. The average age of these guys (Schultz, Kissinger, Haig, Baker and Eagleburger) is over 81. So maybe they are doing it to make McCain look young.
“The small size of the crowds at our rallies is only because we can’t afford the money to attract large crowds.”
Does the one with the largest yard sign win? I didn’t know yard signs voted.
“I am going to test them. They are not going to test me.”
–John McCain
What war are you going to start now, John? Haven’t we had enough of cowboy diplomacy?
